Ready to grow your own gourmet mushrooms at home? Join us for this fun, hands-on workshop where you'll build your very own Bucket Tek mushroom farm to take home and grow yourself.
During this interactive class, you'll learn the fundamentals of mushroom cultivation, including the key ingredients mushrooms need to thrive, how the growing process works, and the most common mistakes and contaminants that can impact success. We'll walk you through each step of creating your mushroom-growing bucket, explain how to care for it after class, and share practical tips we've learned from years of growing mushrooms right here in the Upstate on our mushroom farm.
Whether you're a curious beginner, gardener, homesteader, or mushroom enthusiast, this class will give you the confidence and knowledge to start producing your own delicious gourmet mushrooms at home. You'll leave with a completed Bucket Tek mushroom farm, a deeper understanding of the fascinating fungal kingdom, and the skills needed to continue your mushroom-growing journey long after the class is over.

What Sets Our Classes Apart
Community Vibes
We believe learning should be enjoyable, welcoming, and community-focused. Whether you're attending solo, with a friend, or bringing the whole family, you'll find a relaxed environment where questions are encouraged, conversations flow naturally, and everyone feels comfortable regardless of their experience level. Our classes bring together curious gardeners, food lovers, homesteaders, nature enthusiasts, and mushroom beginners from all walks of life, creating a sense of connection that often extends well beyond the classroom.
Knowledge You Can Apply
Our goal is to provide practical, real-world knowledge that you can actually put to use. We don't simply repeat information from books or overwhelm you with scientific jargon. Instead, we share hands-on experience gained through years of growing, cultivating and working with mushrooms right here in the Upstate. You'll leave with actionable tips, proven techniques, and a better understanding of how mushrooms fit into your garden, kitchen, or hobby. Whether you're interested in growing gourmet mushrooms, improving your garden ecosystem, or exploring the fascinating world of fungi, our classes are designed to give you knowledge you can confidently apply at home.
Create Memories
Mushroom classes also make for a unique and memorable experience to share with others. Many of our guests attend as couples looking for a fun date night, friends searching for something different to do together, or families wanting to learn a new skill side by side. Our classes are interactive, engaging, and suitable for a wide range of ages, making them an excellent choice for homeschool families, youth groups, and 4-H participants seeking educational opportunities. It's a chance to learn, laugh, ask questions, and create lasting memories while discovering one of nature's most fascinating kingdoms.
